I usually hear so much slander but what are some good things/pros about living in USA?

Is there a way to make it so that when I resize the folder window that it doesn't scroll sideways? I also use windows pc's sometimes and with that, when you drag the folder smaller the icons don't go past the edge if that makes sense. This drives me crazy!
