I think I have to return my Manta

If until now you used Rocketbook this means that you took your notes on paper and scanned them with Rocketbook, in terms of security it's a joke. Is your IT department waking up today?

To be fair, they had no clue. I had the Rocketbook app on my work phone and sent scans to my work email. I recently wiped that phone. I’m not even sure they’d officially let me use Rocketbook. I did inform them that I need these tools because of my ADHD.

There's probably a difference between informing them you need something because of ADHD and actually making a request for a reasonable accommodation. I would say that sounds like your career bet we it would probably protect them from the "having to approve it for everybody under the umbrella" thing you mentioned in another comment. May need to get your manager and/or HR involved

Yeah I was thinking about using that angle. They suggested the 2in1, but one of the highlights of the Manta is that it’s light weight. I’m going to email my local IT guy that sits in my office and ask if he can inspect my device in person so we can discuss the offline capabilities.
