How can I lower CPU usage on my laptop or boost it without frying it to death? lol

I forgot my PIN to secure storage on messenger and i can't reset it. The only device with turned on secure storage is my desktop app but i can't find any option to reset my PIN. Also I can't get a one-time code idk why. What should I do now?
