My Opinion on the Game

I personally enjoyed the calm of it. Out in the woods, doing some chores. Exploring. My grandma had dementia so that hit home. I’m a person who requires alone time, so this environment fed that. I think maybe you had a built up expectation. Some don’t like it. That’s ok. Most on this sub have played it multiple times with a new realization from it. A few have sought to be lookouts themselves. To each their own.

I don’t dislike the calmness, and I don’t have anything against some alone time, but just looking at the story alone, it didn’t give me the "kick" I was expecting. I do understand, though, that having a personal connection to the story is what could bring someone closer to it.

Its subjective I guess. I too am a huge fan of RDR2. Its probably number 1 for me and I've played a LOT of games. That didn't mean Firewatch disappointed me though. I heard someone mention that Firewatch feels a lot like grief because even after all that happens, you just feel empty inside. I dunno maybe its stupid but I really liked that cuz that's how I felt after the game. Just my opinion though
