Has anyone seen this thread brand before, or any tips on colour matching?

I’m working with dmc3852 right now and that might be close? But it’s hard to say from photos

I think from another comment the brand has tried to match their colours to the DMC numbers as this one actually is labelled 3852 (incredible guess from that picture btw!!) but a few others have ever so slight differences to some other “matching” DMC threads I have. I suppose it’s similar to dye lot issues with yarn, so might just have to avoid mixing the two brands in one project!

I have some cheaper floss with similar tags, but mine have 2 tags, and one has a colour code. They attempt to use dmc numbers, but the dyes aren't the same, so they can be noticeably darker or lighter.

Yeah, I did compare this and a few others to the DMC floss I had with the same numbers and it’s so close but definitely noticeably different, especially if I was to swap between the two doing satin stitch! Think this might just have to be a stash I dip into for projects where DMC colours aren’t necessary, or if I can colour match closely enough!
