I know hsp people are generally more empathic than usually, but sometimes I really forget what appears the ‘average’ and how that should be anything close to normal.

In no way has Pilates solved all my issues, because I’m still going through a flare up and my ribcage is completely locked up. But, boy has it made things in general better, by a lot!

Don’t know what to do with my husband (dx-adhd) anymore to make sure he was listening. I know his signs when he starts zoning out, but he counters that by getting frustrated when I ask him to summarize. To the point he’s frustrated with me for repeating, yet not knowing what I was talking about…

I know this isn’t nearly the worst part about chronic illness, but the inflammation/med induced hairloss has been hard on me. For close to a year it got better, local treatments helped, had full luscious hair again. All of that has gone (pretty much literally) down the drain in just a few weeks…

Chronic illness is making me draw the wrong conclusions for sure. Excruciating rib pains? Well perhaps getting that rib tattoo isn’t so bad if the place is hurting anyway?

For everyone who didn’t know yet… silicone oven mitts… Not just for handling warm stuff, but also great when handling opening stuff you don’t have a good grip on whenever you don’t have the right specific aid or tool lying around!

I’ve been feeling bad about the state of my body at a young age. I recently started a lower paced form of pilates, and it helped me so much. Still, not fun to see 60 years olds do things better than you.

What’s the science behind waiting for your doctors call she said would take place at 4pm, until after 7pm. Eventually start doing something else, still not letting your eyes off your phone. Then when it’s hectic for just 1 minute, see you have a missed call from them?

Anyone else specifically having morning stiffness not just in the lower back, but also middle of the back where the ribs connect, making your entire ribcage feel stiff and sore?

For all the drs that claim exercise helps: Yes, I feel much less stiff after a pilates session, but I still very much feel the pain being there when it shouldn't...

Yay... Misstepped horribly on Friday... My back, my neck and as a result the migraines have been ruining my life and they probably will keep doing so for another week or two.

Generally making the best of life, feeling pretty good about the things I can do and the support I get. But, Sometimes it's just too much and you suddenly feel how much pain you've been trying to process, which kept adding and overflowing. And God, sometimes a break would be so very fucking nice...

I think I'm finally ready to leave this subreddit guys... Went to grab lunch yesterday, on my own, which I have done before but always felt a bit weird about. It was after I had already left, that I noticed I hadn't even thought about sitting there alone and had actually enjoyed my own company.

Does anyone elses aura or early signs of migraine goes away completely for HOURS, making you sure it wasn't a migraine after all, then suddenly like 9 hours later a migraine appears 'out of the blue'?

I spilled some wine on my shy bath/water hating cat that's on my lap. Husband brought me a wet washcloth, and she's been enjoying me 'brushing' her with the wet cloth... Anyone had a cat starting to tolerate baths later in life?
