If your aim in life is to be a SDE, just continue working and get a part time masters degree ( like OMSCS ) and jump every 2-3 years. Talk to people in your company, they'll say experience over anything ( that's what I got ). US is good provided you are into research. Else, honestly the US condition is extremely bad. Just stay in your job and upskill!
