I just finished watching Gurren Lagann and wow, im struck

From the start, I thought this show would just be very generic but as the more complex elements were introduced, It all formed into a very beautiful picture

The idea that their fighting will gives them infinite power seemed kind of cheap to me at first, it felt like they were just playing the “MC is invincible” card which is maybe still true, but it was very well done and didnt just feel like “plot armor”

Please do let me know if theres more to the story in other media forms, though, judging that the anime ended with all of the main characters at an old age, I doubt it

Im glad I gave this show a chance because usually id put something like this off as “not my cup of tea” but Im soo glad I watched it anyways

I do wish that their seemingly infinite power could bring back Nia because watching her fade away was just heartbreaking even though they were both on terms with it

But its all part of a beautiful story so im not too upset, its a bittersweet feeling
