Material recommendation needed.

I've recently gotten the desire to make my own larp weapons. After doing research I've decided on doing the layer method using 10mm EVA foam, Fiberglass cores, Kevlar, Yoga mats ½" and High Density children's foam mats 3/8" for the building steps.

My point on confusion is now the sealing and painting steps. I plan on using Flexipaint for the painting process and using their gloss/Matt top coats. Before I use the felxipaint, should I use liquid latex to seal the foam and paint on top of and if so what brand(s) would you recommend? Also, after the painting and topcoat, is there another product I need to use to seal the paint protecting it, or will the topcoats from flexipaint do that job for me?

Edit for location, budget and wording

I'm located in Kansas but will most likely order materials online. The budget isn't a massive concern, but I'm not looking to spend over $50 per built weapon on just paint and coating. I will want to do combat with them, involving harder hits and possible tossing/throwing on various types of grounds outside.
