Itinerary and Multipass Questions… starting to second guess everything!
So I’ve made a couple posts on other Disney forums already, and it’s been super helpful, but I keep going back and forth on all of the decisions so I am going to try to put all my questions in one place (also posted in WaltDisneyWorld)
First, my itinerary. I am going with my mom who is a first-timer, and we land on 1/30 and leave on 2/4. We are staying at POP and all of our park day tickets are parkhopping
Day 1 (arrival, Thursday): Water park resort benefit if it’s a nice day, Disney Springs, Boathouse reservation at 8:00.
Day 2 (Friday): Park day at EPCOT
Day 3 (Saturday): Park day, AK to HS.
Day 4 (Sunday): Break day for resort hopping, Topolino’s Terrace at 8:40 PM. Also planning to try for Trader Sam’s.
Day 5 (Monday): Park day at MK
Day 6 (Tuesday): Leave
Okay, now to my questions
- Is there anything I should change about the itinerary? My only non-negotiable is that we have a break day. It was cheaper by a few bucks to get all parkhopping but I was fine with not using it all days, and I worry that trying to hop too much with it being my mom’s first time will start to get overwhelming. But I’m open to any opinions.
- Related to number 1.. Monday is an after hours event at MK, but park is open until 9 according to the app. I’ve heard that on party days it is lighter crowds in the park for the first part of the day, should I expect the same for After Hours? We are not planning to go, it’s not worth the additional expense for us.
Regarding multipass, when they say that you can book 7 days out for your whole trip, that means I need to do my selections for all park days 7 days out from my first park day? I don’t know why I find that confusing lol so I feel like I need additional confirmation on that.
Also regarding multipass, my original plan based on discussions here was that on my AK to HS day, I would only get multipass for HS because I don’t think I’ll need it at AK and I’ll just single pass FoP. But now with reading the experiences of others… is it worth it to get it for both and put like Dinosaur or something as an early tap-in? I worry about not getting SDD but the ride stacking situation seems to not be as good with the new system.
I’m starting to wonder, is it worth it to get multipass for EPCOT??? I was planning to get it for all days but it’s starting to sound expensive, and I realized that since I’ll be entering at the back entrance from the skyliner I could get through Remy’s pretty quick and might get a low wait for Frozen during rope drop… so maybe it’s not worth it? I’d love to hear opinions on this specifically.
What are the general rope drop recommendations for MK now that tron is a regular queue? Is it still worth getting a ILL and rope dropping something like jungle or Peter Pan?
Okay, I THINK those are all my questions right now! Thanks again to everyone here for your patience and information. My main priority is to give my mom a really great first experience and I will do pretty much whatever it takes to make that happen, even if it’s just to stop overthinking everything!
