Any chance we'll ever see the Plaguelands cleansed of undeath?

With the Shadowlands expansion concluded some time ago - is there any chance the Plaguelands (in particular the Eastern Plaguelands) could be freed of the scourge, or at least begin to have more and more parts of it purified to a pre-Plague state?

Wouldn't the scourge be weaker now than ever before?
