MoP Inventory (Garrosh heirloom)

Hi there! I came back to WoW recently and have been enjoying it alot. A problem/worry I ran into is that, on my mage, I spent of time earning mammoth tokens for heirloom items. I bought several but can't equip the non-mage heirlooms. Only the staff that could be equipped is available on the normal game. Will I lose the unprocessed heirloom items when the game is over? Or can I transfer them to my warband at the end? Please advice, really upset if I wasted time (want to use them on expansion for fun)
