How to find chased wolves

I got my lead wolf to level ten and I've been searching for chased wolves ever since but I can't find any! Do I have to make a move before it's revealed or will it show right away? I've been under the impression that it shows right away, but I haven't found any chased wolves and it's been a few days. Any advice is appreciated
