Beat the iron grade exam first try, no big deal
I beat the exam first try, let’s go! But now that i have beaten it, i realized something, which bothers me a lot. Why, in the seven hells, are there multiple spawn points for bosses? I don’t get it? It serves no purpose other then annoy the player, literally no other purpose.
I looked up a map of the exam, to know when i’m going, decided that the south boss room is bigger, so surely, the boss will be there, right? Nope, i got there, in that big ass room and color me surprised, the boss was not there. I contemplated going back, and restart, but then i said, fuck it, let’s go for the northern room. Found him there. When i got there, my team was already low on MP and SP, except Debra. Hold on, i want to say this now, but Debra, she is a godsend. The only reason i got to kill the boss was because Debra was the only one who could do big dmg with her precision strike. That’s the only reason. Her passive is op as hell. Anyway, back to the point, i had scrolls and potions on me, which did help me a lot, but I quickly ran out. The damn poison, wasn’t that strong, but I couldn’t get rid of it, so it was dealing constant damage. My front line had no problem with tanking hits, but when the boss used the Nickelodeon slime attack on my back line, it was devastating.
For those who have yet to beat it, or those who are almost at lv 40 and will have to try it eventually, let me give you some tips.
Bring potions and scrolls. The potions need to be the highest tear you can buy, and the scrolls need to be wind. I only brought two scrolls for each character. Don’t make the same mistake as me, bring at least three scrolls for each character. You can also bring some scrolls for buffs and debuffs, I didn’t want to sacrifice my damage, but you do you. I also discovered a bug, that maybe can help you. I have discovered that, if the game does not lag and loads fast, after you flee, there is a chance you can phase trough enemies and not engage them in battle. I used it, and it does work…. Sometimes. Sometimes it will not work, but if you are lucky, you can skip some very annoying enemies. When you get to the boss, watch out. If you can, have your priest save as much MP as possible, you will need it for the boss more then the potions. I mean, save some potions too if you can, but if you need to make a choice between your priest’s MP and potions, use the potions. Watch out for the green mist attack that targets your backline and the bite. The bite almost one shots if you are at full HP, it deals devastating damage. If you are blocking? You good, if you are not blocking, hope you have the HP to survive. The boss is also beefy, like, annoyingly so. He has too much health. I get that he is a boss and all that, but he has a stupidly amount, so you will have to somehow stay alive and deal enough damage as well. If this helps someone, then i did a good job.
