Buying a boat with welded crack?

Hi, I’m in the market for my first boat (still fairly new to whitewater). I’m searching Facebook marketplace and I’ve seen some decent boats, a few of which have had cracks welded (near the opening). Is this something to be concerned about when buying a boat?

I definitely want a decent starter boat, but i also don’t want to shell out mad money for my first one. Should i skip these bots altogether, or is it okay to proceed if the crack was properly welded?
