Mercedes GLA 2024 advice

Hi there, my mom test drove the GLA and has fallen in love, but the sales guy mentioned something we didn’t fully understand and my internet research has not really clarified for us cause we do not know much about cars.

He said it has an electric engine, but that it’s not a hybrid.

I don’t really know what the ramifications of that are for longevity etc. or what it really means at all.

She drives daily about 30 km per day, but periodically does long distance (1200km over a weekend) for road trips and my other siblings competitions, about 4-5 times a year.

Her last car was an 2011 acura mdx that is still in decent condition and she’s hoping for a similarly long lasting vehicle.
