C868 Project Selection (Mobile or Software II)

I am finishing the Mobile App course and have enrolled in the Capstone. My CI told me (and I have read this elsewhere) most people use one of the two prior projects for this we just need to add a search function for both and a login page for the mobile app.

It looks like the capstone is mostly writing and I would like to focus on this, so I was wondering based on all of your experiences, which project is the simplest to modify to fit the requirement?

I may be way overthinking it, but I keep staring at both projects and am sort of at a loss on what to do on each without disturbing the code that is already there.
