Is this really "shitty weed" ?

I am abroad right now and only manged to get my hands on the weed in the picture. Ive been told that where I am all the weed is pretty much home grown on smaller scales and usually only intended for personal use or use with friends. This to me sounds like the weed would be better but when I got some it looked nothing like my usual weed which is bright green with a bunch of crystals. Ive seen pics of "shitty weed" before and they look exactly like the one I have now but oh my god this weed was good. I do have a fairly low tolerance as it is but this weed had me high for hours and giggling non stop. So now I'm taking the stand that there's no such thing as shitty weed lol.
