Need help before I fry my video card!
I have a barrow waterblock BS-GIG3090-PA2 for my Gigabyte RTX 3080ti Eagle 12G and the block does not seem to cover all the components it needs to. I created this image from a video tutorial to illustrate the problem. I color coded where the thermal pads got on the original cooler, the card, and the waterblock.
You can see in the image that the yellow box covers some chips on the card, and has a thermal pad on the original cooler, but on the waterblock the heat sink does not extend over these chips, and in fact has a groove cut out in the acrylic to avoid contact. The waterblock is supposed to be compatible, so I'm thinking it's fine, but want some second opinions before I power on. Is this normal?
