A message to the Aardman employee who came into a fabric shop to buy pink twisted cord for Gromit's duvet cover over a year ago:
I cannot remember if you were a runner, animator, in props, or another role entirely.
Over a year ago, you came into the shop I worked in at the time. You were looking for some pink twisted cord like the piece sewn into a design on the small piece of fabric you were holding. All retail jobs suck, but at this place, at least I got to ask people "what are you making?" and Bristol, being like it is, I always got some very interesting answers.
But you said "This is going to be a duvet cover in a stop motion animation." I got so excited and just blurted WALLACE AND GROMIT at you. You were so chill, let me hold Gromit's little duvet cover, and had a smile on your face the whole time (I think because you know you've got one of the coolest jobs in the city/world)
I grew up on W&G, so honestly that short, probably forgettable shopping trip for you has become quite a fond memory for me. (And I now rank holding Gromit's duvet higher in star-power than when I met the actual queen.)
Just one question though, was the duvet I got to hold from Vengeance Most Fowl, or an earlier one?
Thanks again for being a happy memory in a horrid retail world. I hope your Aardman/beyond career is long and thrilling!
