Headlight glare in video

So I do car filming, trying to get to woyshnis media level, and I did a night test for the first time ever the other night. I took my usual day time ND 16 filter off and adjusted some settings to better see the night terrain but not enough to give it noise.

But my friends car’s headlights literally looked like this, I thought turning the highlights all the way down would help but it did nothing. How can I film without getting this in it? I’ve seen so many videos of cars with bright lights without the glare but I can’t find a video how to fix it.

My friend has a 2016 Audi A4

My camera specs: Sony A7iii Sigma 28-70 f2.8 lens with on/off autofocus slider I can’t remember what the settings were exactly but I know I had 1/50 shutter speed, F8 and 0 exposure adjustments

I use premiere pro to edit. Thanks in advance
