Being Forced Off The 10GB Shared Plan
I'm expecting a $15 monthly increase to my old 10gb shared plan (2 lines), so I contacted Verizon to review my options. I'm aware they've been steadily adding fee adjustments to those with traditional/discontinued data plans. I was told by the agent that should I stay on the 10gb plan, I "may experience latency and service interruption which will further move to discontinued services." This contradicts with the January email about the $15 increase, which stated that my "current benefits won't change, so you can stick with your current plan if that works best for you."
Anyone else being told that "you will eventually have to change the plan to the latest plan?" I basically am told to change my plan or wait until Verizon discontinues my service, which seems absolutely outrageous...they can't just cancel my service for not switching plans, can they?
The agent shared a couple of new Unlimited Welcome Plan options, all of which increases my bill by $50+ per month. At the end of the chat, they offered me a $25 loyalty discount for 12-months. Still not good enough.
