Electrum-XVG Verge wallet transaction stuck at "broadcasting transaction"

An hour ago I made a Verge transaction, but the Wallet still says "Broadcasting transaction" Do I need to cancel the transaction and try again? Wallet says on top "(Not responding)", so I'm a bit afraid the walled crashed.
