Info Request

Hello, does anybody know of any clear, reputable sources of info that compare the prospects of a global regenerative farming food system and a global vegan food system? Sources that consider metastudies and that do not come from vegan activists would be especially welcome.

For context: lately a bunch of the people in my life who I've been making some progress with talking to are getting hung up on the idea that even if factory farming is bad, this doesn't show that a form of farming that gave animals very good lives would be wrong. I've already tried to explain that we don't usually think making things suffer is the end all and be all of immoral behaviour: unnecessarily taking life is a paradigmatically bad thing to do - even if it's done in a very painless way. But so far, no dice.

So, I've decided to switch up my approach. I figure that if I can show them that a food system structured around giving animals good lives before they die is infeasible at scale, this may prove a more effective way of showing them that they should be voting with their dollars for a vegan food system.
