Finally, I said the right thing to an reckless, angry driver
TLDR: some drivers are entitled jerks
This morning just before 10:00 a.m. I was riding east on West First approaching Manitoba. Yahoo comes from the south not intending to stop for stop sign but myself and another commuter are in his road. I am a MAMIL so doing about the speed limit. Yahoo catches up and starts honking then squeezes by. Races up to car stopped at crosswalk for pedestrian. He tries to klaxon them into submission. He has nowhere to go and ends up waiting at the light with the rest of us. Light changes but, if you know the route, we are all going to miss light at Ontario. Well, he does catch up and begins yelling out the window.
Most of the time I just try to ignore these people but this time I got to say to the child in the carseat, "Don't grow up to be like your granddad."
Afterward I realized maybe he was just another old fart with a young child.
