Why doesn't every new Skytrain station have housing built with it ?!
What a complete missed opportunity. Every station on the Broadway Line will be underground and seems perfect for housing on top of them. Yet, as far as I'm aware, only the South Granville station will have a development built on top of it alongside construction. A 39 story mixed-use tower. Perfect example of the potential that these stations have for housing placement.
What a terrible lack of planning by Vancouver City Council.
This Skytrain extension could've provided thousands of new housing units but instead 5/6 stations will be a costly missed opportunity. And, I get that towers could be built later, but let's be honest, that's not going to happen for a longgg time lol.
