How do you guys approach locations with elite monuments in Ashlands?

I started to look into getting the dyrnwyn as a meele character with all gear maxed out and let's just say I was humbled by the amount of 2 star Charred creatures. For those who got the dyrnwyn already, how did you approach the locations with the elite monuments? And how was the fight with Lord Reto?
