Is it pointless to pursue this path?
1st class BA Philosophy at a top five RG university; 23y; 0 legal work experience; 5y retail work experience; 0 networking; 0 society exp.
Is it worth it, at this point, to pursue a career as a solicitor - given how competitive this path is?
Have any non-law graduates pursued this career in similar circumstances?
Not looking to pity myself here, or to annoy anyone with what may seem a silly question, but just some sound advice. Should I commit myself to something else? I suppose I ought to state my aim is to simply do as much good with my career as I can whilst being able to pay the bills and provide for any future family I might have - given the inherent limitations in making the choices I have made so far. I had thought converting to law, within a suitable field, would be a good bet - after a few years of considering teaching.
Many thanks.
