financial aid has yet to come

I submitted my FAFSA back in February and was told they received it in April. I’m a transfer from in-state and am hopefully eligible for additional aid. I’ve called the financial aid office about 7 times over the summer about when I’d receive my aid so I’d know if I need to work during school or not and I keep getting different answers. I was told mid-July, then late July, then early August and now allllll of a sudden no financial aid package was ever created for me to begin with????? Why did no one say this? I was wondering if it’s typical to get awarded anything this late. I’m supposed to get a call in 2-4 business days from someone but I’m beyond annoyed and irritated. It’s like they don’t understand how crucial financial aid is to people. Has anyone else gone through this?
