Uber scamming...actually stealing from us ...in a new way

Im in Central New York and the lowest I see a fare on X is $4.32. Ive looked back a month and have dozens at $4.32 and nothing less. So whats Ubers new scam?....I have noticed this at least 3 times in last week. Its busy and there's surge all over. Map is various stages of dark red. $2.00 up to maybe $8.50. Im doing my normal cherry picking and Ive driven through a $6 surge area and its "stuck" to me, I get a request and its for $8.50 and includes the $6 surge. At first Im thinking, ok, not a bad ride..maybe 10 minutes total and its $8.50 and I accept it and complete it. I get something a bit later with similar numbers and take it again, but something doesnt seem quite right..then it dawns on me. How is a $6 surge trip, not worth at a minimum of $10.32 since the lowest rides I get are at $4.32. I verify on the trip history that in fact the ride had a $6 surge and the total payout is $8.50. So watch the surges you get, they might not be what you think they are.
