years old weed smells like Dill Pickle chips

we ran out of weeds today, only have enough for a joint. My boyfriend suggested we pull out a 4 year old jar of weed! I said “let’s do it”. He shows me the jar 🤢 the nugs are BROWN, and a bit of orange. I’m like okay let’s see what it smells like. The lid popped off because there was weird pressure in there.
