Is diy hrt before prescribed bad

I have an appointment with a doctor to hopefully start hrt in a month but a friend of mine is helping me by giving me estrogen that I can go on until then, is there any issues I could run into logistically or medically when I get on “legit” estrogen??? I’ve been on the diy for 2 days now and I’m feeling awsome tho. (Im 20 and from Canada if location or age matter at all in the question)

(Edit: after pretty much hearing nothing but people saying I shouldn’t be doing it both in person and online I probably won’t continue taking the diy estrogen unless me getting a prescription gets pushed back)
