It's well known and established that Tophia is stuck in her ways like a stick in the mud. A life changing event hasn't even impacted her sense of responsibility. Do we see any hope for Marie though?

Could this carjacking and the loss of her son shake something within her to want to move on from the car life? Maybe after some time in the hospital with constant care and medical attention she might find the appeal of home more enticing. Or is she stuck to Tophia like Tophia is Marie. I'm genuinely curious on your thoughts.
