Tipping should not be mandatory

The main purpose of tipping these days is to shift the cost to customers, allowing businesses to save money on wages. They should pay minimum wage like retail business owners and make tipping completely optional. Please don't say tipping is not mandatory because if you don't tip, they will be furious and chase you out the store.
