[PC][pre-2004][windows]Third person human character and Robe wearing NPCS in an icy world

I used to play this when I was really young, all i remember is that the robe wearing npcs would probably send red orbs towards you and then you’d die/ get points? I dont remember. I just faintly remember an icy area to explore. Would mean a lot if someone could help and would bring back great memories.
