Is my Thinkpad booby trapped?

What in god's name is this little thing? It was sitting under the Kapton tape. See that little arm thingy - it moves.

Since it was under the tape, I'm thinking it was in down position, now it's in up position.

Could that be like a warranty thing, is Lenovo booby trappeing its mother boards...?
