Clients who are being scammed online.

Have you encountered this before? What did you do?

I’ve encountered this and we discussed the possibility that it was a scam. I provided some educational information about what to look for, common signs of scams. However, this person continues to engage with the scammers, seeming to believe that they are who they say they are, they just happen to want money as well.

This person is not a vulnerable adult under the definition, but is someone easy to prey on given their circumstances and desire for a relationship. They keep getting let down by these people.

Since we’ve already gone over warning signs, I’m just kind of holding space for the emotion. Is there something more you would do?
