Coming back, how bad is cannibalism now?

I am coming back after a few years. Is cannibalism still as awful as when Evrima first dropped? I loved the official servers in legacy but Evrima had so much cannibalism and similar behavior that it simply wasn't as fun, it was harder to find good groups than in legacy. Is this still the case?

Any other major game culture or gameplay differences in the past two or so years?
