I can't figure out the new light AR

I was so hyped when I heard light was getting an AR this season and I've been playing with it for a while but I cant figure it out. What makes it different than just a lower damage XP? quick reload doesnt seem to do much for a light since you cant even stay in a gunfight for that long. Does it have a completly different playstyle? Does it go really well with some specific gadgets that Im not thinking of?

This is not a "new light gun sucks. Buff it or Im gonna cry into my pillow tonight." rant post. Im genuinely trying to understand how to use this gun effectively because I was really hyped for it and it looks fcking awsome. So if you have any tips for this gun I'd love to hear them.

If it helps my current loadout is: grapple, arn-220, frag, breach, gateway with glitch, goo nade, sonar and lh1 in reserve.
