Friend borrowed clothes back in March and said that I was “sweating her for them”

As a bit of background, I let her borrow them back in March. I let her borrow them so I could borrow a pair of Fashion Nova jeans. When I came back to return her clothes and get mine, I wanted to keep the jeans longer and said she could keep them longer as well. When I asked for them again when she came back she said she left them in Memphis, but that they were “safe” and she’d get them back soon. This was in April. The second time I asked for them, this time she said I told her she could have them. I know for a fact that I never told her she could have a pair of jeans worth $60-120 for free, especially after she charged me for two SHEIN bodysuits. I didn’t mention it to her bc I know she would’ve told me I was having an attitude. When I finally responded to HER attitude, she said I was having one. I’m just wondering, could I have been more polite? Was I rude when asking for my jeans back? I didn’t even say anything to her when she said that her friend would “hopefully have them.” She still said I had an attitude. AITAH? I can’t post in the actual AITAH subreddit bc they don’t allow images :/
