Any sign that Abbott is going to protect Texans or is he all out on the Trump thing?

I ask because I know that DOGE is mucking about right now in the Texas legislation and sphere with out much or any rein. That would mean that Abbott would have to sign off on that... and also by recent executive letters he seems to have absolutely no interest in protecting Texans. Edited spelling error
