Windows 11 HDMI Display Detected but no output

So I went to do a presentation today, and I plugged an HDMI cable into my laptop. It detected the HDMI display as if everything was working properly.

It showed that it detected (and presumably connected to) an HDMI output (when the screen kinda does that shrinking motion, if you get what I mean). It even showed the name of the HDMI device (a Crestron projector in this case). I was able to alter the settings, such as go into System > Display > Multiple Displays, and change whatever settings were present.

However, there is no display output, despite Windows properly recognizing that I plugged something into the HDMI port, and me being able to change the settings.

Any thoughts?
