Audioengine A2+ Active (Left) Speaker keeps going off

My AudioEngine A2+ active speaker keeps going off, while the passive (right) speaker works well.

Some details below

• My speakers are a month old
• I have tested different cables, connection types (BT and USB) and sources (PC, Laptop, iPhone). The problem doesn't go away.
• The problem is intermittent, so the speaker could work fine for a day and then go off for hours
• Service Center was not able to recreate the error on their end and so they sent back, saying they can't replace parts under warranty if they can't recreate the issue on their end
• Interestingly, when I tap the left speaker hard on its head, the speaker would go off, then when I tap again, it would come back on.

What could be the issue? Could the amplifier be faulty or a loose connection somewhere?
