I think spirits of animals are communicating with me through tarot

I used tarot and the pendulum to try to communicate with some spirits, I was really suprised when they told me they were animals when they were alive in the physical realm. The answers I got was that they were two animals but only one of them was communicating with me at the moment and also that they are not always with me, so they dont follow me or anything and so they are also not spirit guides. I asked them if I knew any of them when they were alive and they seemed uncertain at first but then said no. I asked them if one of them was my childhood cat and they said no. Then I asked if that cat has already passed away (my mom gave her away and I don’t know where she ended up in) and they gave me a clear yes, which makes sense since it was so long ago. This was the first time a spirit told me they were an animal in the physical realm. (It could also just be a spirit tricking me tho). But now I’m so curious and still suprised, why would spirts of animals that I didnt know come to me? And is it really possible that spirits of animals can communicate with us?
