Owning a BDU without being in the military

I don’t plan on wearing this in public or anything. I just want to have clothing for my personal kit that I’m planning on building. Is it okay for one to own a bdu without being in the military? I’m not having any ranks, insignias, flags etc. it’s just camouflaged clothing. A lot of paintballers and airsofters already do. This is just something for me only and I’m not taking any pictures for social media or anything. Will military people be upset for me owning this? I’m not trying to be a poser.
