Synth effects that aren't designed for guitarist
I've been a guitarist with GAS for almost 30 years. I have a good collection of effects pedals, individual and multi-effects, as well as real amps and amp sims. More than a little bit of everything.
I've been getting into synths recently and I have ran my synths through my guitar equipment. It sounds great and it's a ton of fun. I'm not looking for anything that sounds different or better. Just a different physical interface.
Guitar pedals, especially when on the floor, aren't convenient for the constant knob tweaking of sound design. Of course I've seen desktop racks built for guitar pedals, and that does go a long way to fix the issue, but it would still be nice to replace a footswitch with a button. Add some more knobs for the functions guitarist don't real time tweak. All in a box designed to be mounted on a keyboard rack.
I have little to no interest in getting into modular synths, but I was thinking a small eurorack of just effect modules might be the ideal hands on effects for playing synths?
Has anyone went that route or know of any other products designed with the synth player in mind?
And yes I know how trivial this is. Guy doesn't want to touch footswitchs with his hands, boo hoo. Lol. It is what it is. I enjoy purpose built and optimized products.
