Weird girl books but make them classics??
"Weird girl fiction" is such a popular little subgenre right now. I've read and enjoyed a lot of the books that are recommended but they're always contemporary. I'm looking for some older books/forgotten gems and would love some recs! Anything centered around weird/deranged/lonely/complex/kind of unlikable women.
Recommendations I have so far:
- The Vet's Daughter by Barbara Comyns
- Angel by Elizabeth Taylor
I've also already read We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson which also fits into what I'm looking for.
