Books like Half Brother, Tarzan, and the Jungle Book?

Hi everyone! I am doing a project for school where I have to group some books together for lit circles proposal for a middle school class room (ages 10-13 ish). I already will be working with Half Brother by Kenneth Oppel, as assigned by my professor.

I had an idea to group books together based on the theme of animal/human relationships, similarities, and differences. That’s why I am thinking about using something like Tarzan, since Half Brother is kind of the opposite of Tarzan.

I am really struggling to find books that would be age appropriate and fit into this category. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!!
