What is your WHY?
I’m curious to know why you strength train? What gets you to do this hard and sometimes painful thing? What keeps you going? What is your why? I’ll go first… My father is 89 and frail. Watching his physical decline made me aware that as a tall lean guy, that was my future as well if I didn’t get stronger and put on some muscle mass. Thinking about this gives my training a clear purpose—as much as possible, get and stay strong. And that feeling of being strong definitely keeps me going. Finally, I’d be lying if I didn’t say part of my why is, I want to look strong and muscular. It’s feels good to see my results in the mirror and in the way my clothes fit. So what is your why?
