Greef Karga and Pilots

I am pretty sure the answer is yes, but figured I'd ask the community: Can Greef Karga's "When Played" ability allow you to select pilot cards since they are technically upgrades AND units when in your deck zone?

Cooking up some Obi-Wan Nabat-Village spice right now, and this would greatly enhance the decks ability to find combo pieces.
